Colored Spacers
Spacers are the strips beneath the lip of the frame that provide space and distance between the glazing (glass or acrylic) and the artwork itself. They are an essential component of a conservation framing project.
Some of the benefits of this space are to eliminate the chance of an image transfer as well as prevent the artwork from adhering to the glazing.
The frame displayed is a one-inch black beveled hand finished frame made by our very own team. We added a blue spacer that matches the blue in the artwork to add an instant accent to the overall look. Come by our shop today to recreate this look. Preserve your art in style!
